Getting Lighter

It's Spring time. Time to go through your closets and get rid of the things you no longer have a use for. Time to give up habits that no longer serve you. Time to shed old opinions and see things in a new way. Time to lighten up!!!

Isn't he a little cutie? This is what I did to my husband today. He was sweet enough to pose so I could finally do the before and after I've always wanted to.

I've used a film made for my Polaroid SX-70 by The Impossible Project called TZ-Artistic Paul Giambarba Edition. I love the muted tones in this film. Here's another from that film pack.

If you want to see more photos taken with this film, go here. Also, I am shooting this pack of film with a beautiful Polaroid SX-70 camera that I intend to sell in my new photography shop, as part of the grand opening in May. I have three of these lovelies and I need to lighten up. So stay tuned.....

Reverence

...my cup runneth over.
Psalm 23:5
All this month I am participating in a Flickr pool named 30 Days of Gratitude. Hop on over to see some beautiful photographs that just may give you inspiration to list all you are grateful for. FYI, the Shutter Sisters One Word Project's word for the month of November is Gratitude. Check out their pool here.

I ♥ NY

Yes, I do! I've been absent for the past week because I have been wandering around New York City with my husband. We spent five days exploring, eating and falling in love with this amazing city. It rained almost the whole time we were there and the temperature stayed firmly planted in the 40's, but that only added to the romance. During the next few days I will be posting photos of one of the best vacations I've had in a very long time. New York City, I love you.

Vintage Photography Book Find

Lookie what I found!! Published in 1972, packed with beautiful photographs from that time AND a special section devoted to One-Step Photography. Specifically, my love: the Polaroid SX 70.

Below is a statement by a wonderful man, Edwin H. Land, that I just had to share. (Click on it to see it larger so you can read it, silly!)

And here are the diagrams from the book that illustrate exactly how this wonderful camera works. (Click on the diagram to view larger.)

Brilliant, huh?!
