More Polaroid Fun

Curiosity is all I can think of when I see these together. I feel that for my Polaroid camera.

Polaroids

Well, it seems I've fallen in love with something that won't last forever. I simply LOVE playing with my Polaroid camera. I'm far from a master, but its still fun. I think its the limitations. The instant gratification. And the imperfection. The Polaroid I'm using right now doesn't allow me to focus, so I bought an old SX-70 on Ebay that I can focus. I just need to rig it to use the 600 film that's still around.
If you love the look of a Polaroid print, check out Heather Champ, Jen Gotch, or any of the other photographers involved with the book, For the Love of Light. I've ordered the book and can't wait to get it.

Thankful for Work

I was recently asked by a neighbor to illustrate some flashcards she's making of birds native to our area. She's planning on using these to teach young children. I had so much fun doing this! The drawings were done by hand, then manipulated in Photoshop. I'm hoping she'll ask me to do more.

Away

Yes, it has been a long time since I have posted anything here. I have been deeply, deeply sad during the past month. My sister left this earth unexpectedly and this has left me and my family in a state of shock. When the wind gets back into my sails, I will be posting here again. Check my Flickr link to see a recent visitor to my backyard. He was definitely in a posing mood.
