I'm Making Portraits!

A couple months ago I was given the opportunity to shoot some Senior Portraits! This is Cate.

And a couple weeks ago, her mother called me back to have portraits made of Cate and her sister Megan!

Oh, how I enjoyed doing this!  I really hope I get to do it again.  I want to photograph children, families, siblings, seniors, babies (eek!)!  From the session to the editing, I LOVE doing this!!!

Oh My Getty

Today, I am doing a little happy dance in my head.  Atleast a year ago, I submitted some photos to Getty Images.  Didn't hear a peep out of them.  I just figured that I wasn't "there" yet.  But, still, it is a little goal I've set for myself.  Some of my favorite Flickr photogs have that cute little "g" down by their licensing info.

Okay, so today I got a request from Getty.  They liked these images:

Yaaaayyy!!!  Happy dance, happy dance!

We've Been Interviewed

Fellow Etsy artist, David Burns Smith, has an interesting and well written blog called The Studio Chronicle and he's interviewed Scott and me for his Journey Beyond the Artists Studio series. How cool is that! Read the interview here.
Thanks so much David! I look forward to your series every week!

Fresh Items in My Shop

Just a quick note to let you know I have a few fresh cards in my Etsy Shop. I really love how they turned out. I just don't see how I could ever use anything but Crane & Company cards. There's nothing better!

I've Been Blogged

Today I have had the great fortune to have been featured, with some other amazing Etsy artists, by Indie Fixx guest blogger, Wendy Oates-Larson, in her Best of Etsy post. Wow!

Wendy has her own blog, Evidently and is apparently a Twitter addict. Thank you, Wendy!

Find the above print in my shop, here.

Vintage Muscle Car Tshirts for Spring!

Here they are! We finally were able to shoot our new Muscle Car tshirts today. I love these! They're soft and lightweight so they'll be a staple for me all summer (it gets HOT here in Texas). These are all available at http://www.tightropetees.etsy.com/. We are also taking wholesale orders from some boutiques around town (woo hoo!).

Check out our super-cool logo that we print on the back of all of our shirts. We love our little polar bear.

Facebook and a Frowny Face

I 've just joined Facebook! Yipee! I've found so many friends from high school that my brain is about to explode with goofy memories from that time. Wow. I'll report back once I've figured out how to use it. For now, I'm having a class reunion in cyberspace. Hmmm. That sounded kind of dorky.
I took the above photo last night, BEFORE I realized it was a frown or a conjuction. I just thought it was beautiful.

Today is always the beginning.

This is the first post on my new blog. This blog will be about what inspires me: art, design, color, nature. I've been called "Nature Girl" before, and though I live in the middle of the suburbs, I'm captivated by its magic on a daily basis. I hope to show you what I see and what I make. And I hope you find it useful.
